KSE IOM Consulting Case Study on Family Loofa from Ukraine
Family Loofa is a small business based in Ukraine that was founded in 2018 by a couple who were inspired by the idea of growing loofah plants and using them to create natural washcloths and sponges. The family's passion for environmental activism and sustainability has been a driving force behind their business. However, due to the war in Ukraine, the family was forced to leave their business and relocate to Kyiv for safety. They reached out to KSE IOM consulting project to help them design a growth strategy and continue to build their business despite the challenges they face. Through consultations with KSE Consultants, Family Loofa was able to develop a financial model for effective loofah farming business growth and explore partnership and franchise options. This case study showcases the sustainable agriculture practices employed by Family Loofa and the growth strategy that helped them expand their micro family business into a network of eco-enthusiasts growing loofah and making a profit.
